I chose to analyse this advertisement because Semi Precious Weapons normally support Lady Gaga and appeal to her target audience as they have been very popular when they have supported her on her world tour as they are a similar genre and also have a outrageous image. From the image you can see the lead singer is wearing typically feminine clothes like stockings and striking a womanly pose. The other members of the band are pulling very different poses and have a punk look to them. this makes the band together look very striking and eye catching to an audience. This is similar to what Lady Gaga achieves with her extravagant outfits and stage shows. The advert itself has quite a plain background, drawing the audience to the image with all the information to one side, the bands name in the biggest writing. 
The second advert I am going to analyse is a Ministry of Sound advert. I have chosen this one as Lady Gaga has featured in some of the Ministry of sound compilation CD's so the advert would probably appeal to her target audience. The image on this album is quite arty and has some effects on it to make it look dark and more grainy. I like the use of the darkness and how the lights really stand out in the photo. This album does not have a single artist on the advert like most adverts as it is a compilation, so is a mixture of artists. My advert will have someone modelling the artist hopefully, so the onlooker could identify which artist it is advertising.MY FLAT PLANS
1st plat plan
My first flat plan is of someone shown as Gaga wearing a teeth crown sitting on a teeth throne. When I drew this I forgot that I would have to follow this by producing my own photos. So this was more of a fantasy advert. I thought this regal idea would work well for an iconic figure like Lady Gaga. I made the title of the advert as bold as possible with a silver drop shadow to emphasise it. All my text is in capitals apart from the website and who has written the quote. I made the title and the 5 stars the biggest as this is what will capture peoples interest if they were walking past this as a poster or flicking through a magazine. This advert doesn't have a huge amount of information on it but I think its simplistic with the writing and works for this advert. However I will not be using this design as I will not be able to make a teeth throne in the time I have. Also this image doesn't really work with our idea for our video.

2nd Flat Plan
My second flat plan is of the jaw bone of a skull. I chose capital and bold fonts for the writing on the advert to make it eye catching for people seeing it. I wanted a orange glow behind the writing to emphasise it even more. The image of the skull I wanted quite dark and mysterious with very white teeth so they stood out. I found this flat plan very plain. Although the image would be very eye catching, I do not have a skull to photograph so I would have had to use a free image and none of my own. I do not really like this flat plan as much as the others but I feel this flat plan has the best use of text. The 5 stars look good with the black outline and the yellow inside. Very impacting.

3rd Flat Plan
This is my favourite flat plan. In the flat plan it shows the background as grey and the writing as black, however, I would actually have the writing white and the background black. The image I want is similar to the image on one of the Digipack flat plans but without the broken mirrored effect. I like the images simplicity and skeletal theme but it is still very impacting and eye catching. I want a more curly font for this advert as I have tried block fonts in the other advert flat plans. I think this would work really well as a full page advert in a magazine, as the first thing you'd see when you turned the page would be the image, drawing the person in to read the information. One thing I would develop on with this flat plan is I would put more information on it as it is very plain at the moment.
